I am a responsible operator bringing expertise with digging, backfilling and general site maintenance. I can safely operate excavators and dozers to handle rolling assignments moving materials, lifting heavy loads and improving site layouts. I also offer good technical and mechanical abilities. Always ready to step in and help team members with challenging work.
I understand and embrace today's safety and environmental culture.
While working on the TMX for two and a half years with an excavator, my tasks were quite diverse. I was on a road maintenance crew which established drainage systems on the FSR's. This included cutting drainage ditches as well as installing culverts and the grading of aggregate.
Then I went to a grade crew, for a few months, stripping topsoil and pulling rough grade for the dozers and the graders. I also graded out some steeper sections, that were to difficult for other equipment. (I was never on a slope where I needed to be tethered)
I worked on the drilling and blasting crew for a while. My tasks there included excavating blast rock, proofing ditch specs, as well as material handling such as loading rock trucks.
I also worked on a ditch crew , doing exactly that , digging ditch. Utilized GPS equipped excavators to achieve accurate depths and alignment as per spec.
And finally, the last number of months on the project i was on a clean up crew. Putting back grade cuts, pulling topsoil for the dozers, loading rock trucks with material, and final grade of topsoil in areas where it was to steep or to soft for the dozers.
While employed with A&B, I was a part their Pipeline Integrity Program.
I would dig safe excavations around live facilities daily, in a timely manner, for inspection and or repair. Pipe diameters varied between 6" and 16".
I would have to strip the area with the hoe, excavate the pipeline, then safely shade and backfill the excavation. I would pack the area affected then spread the topsoil back on as a finished project.
I demonstrated precision in trench digging for utility repair and inspection, minimizing disruption to surrounding areas.
While employed with Carson's / Canadian Plains, I operated an excavator in the oil patch.
I would do all aspects of pipeline construction of the small inch variety.
This would include but not be limited to, strip soils, grade work, dig ditch, excavate around line crossings, land risers, road bores, shade pipe, backfill, general clean up, etc.
Many years as a lead operator, expected to handle the most challenging situations.
Safety and environmental concerns are at the forefront of my working nature
I have a great sense of awareness around the machine That enables me to operate it in a safe and efficient manner
I have a pretty good knack of visualizing what the finished product should look like whether it be cutting grade or putting it back
After many years of operation, I have developed a high proficiency with the machine
