I am still fairly new to this industry, but am very eager to learn new skills and improve wherever I can. I am very flexible in adapting to dynamic environments. I am a quick learner and a great team player. I have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. I am very reliable and responsible including keeping up with deadlines. I am well versed in the use of many computer programs. I believe I would be a good addition to your team and welcome the opportunity of employment with your organization.
I have worked in Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Specimen Logistics. I am currently working in Specimen Logistics as the second in charge, and have been in this position for a little over a year. On a day to day basis I troubleshoot errors and/or uncommon testing, will work in any area that is busy and needs a hand, and assist in organizing workflow so patients get the care they need as quickly as possible. When the supervisor is away I take over and ensure the department continues to run smoothly. This includes, but is not limited to: shuffling staff, completing paperwork, and solving issues when they arise. Previous to this I worked in chemistry and my job included completing analyzer maintenance, running special chemistry testing, monthly quality control audits, external proficiency testing, and any other projects the supervisor needed me to work on.
