HR Advisor

DP World is a gloabl logistics company, specialized in ports, terminal and marine operation's. My role is to strategically support managers and employees in specific terminals across Canada, to meet our operational goals.


My responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic HR support within a heavily unionised, global company.
  • Coaching management and employees on legislative and regulatory changes, as well as interpersonal issues and change management.
  • Driving large scale recruitment for our Shared Services portfolio, focusing heavily on IT and Finance roles, to meet our business needs. Working closely with managers to identify skill gaps, 9 box succession planning and promote retention.
  • Revamping our onboarding program to address problem areas and cultivate a more supportive environment for new hires.
  • Supporting managers with performance management, providing guidance and implementing PIP's when needed.
  • Systems management (Oracle, Bamboo, Dayforce)- supporting with the implementation of a new ERP.
  • Chair of the DEIB Committee - we focus on promoting equity in recruitment, training, retention and promotion, as well as managing our budget for events, training and raising awareness.
  • Promoting employee engagement initiatives.
  • Acting as a back-up for payroll administration
  • Project management for various projects from career mapping to the development of a new hire orientation presentation.
  • Designated recipient contact for WHVP, responding to cases and providing appropriate support and intervention.
  • Member of Sustainability, Joint H&S and Emergency Management Committees.
