Central point of contact for any patient, family or support people requiring assistance through the health system. Skilled collaborator and strong advocate for patients and their families with all encounters focused through a patient centered lens. Critical knowledge of; the complexities of the health system, facilitators and barriers to access, and the experienced journey of those in our care. Excellent communication abilities, with a keen focus on relationship building among system leadership, department of health, and the bridge to connect all resources (internal and external) to assist with directing patients throughout the system. Assisted in development and updating of policies. Interim duties to support the patient experience portfolio include working closely with patient and family partners, assisted in recruiting, interviewing, orientation and training of new partners, co-chair of the patient and family advisory council, and chair of the Patient and family Centered care steering committee.
