Currently, I am a Driver Trainer Specialist on the Road Safety & Compliance team bringing awareness to safe driving issues and collision avoidance and improving driver safety at Canada Post. I teach safe driving courses and deliver road safety clinics on a variety of driving issues to both APOC and CUPW, including collision avoidance, as well as perform driver assessments and remedial training for at-risk employees. I hold a commercial driver's license with several years of experience driving freight, logging, and dump trucks in Canada and the US. I am also an experienced team leader who has held a variety of positions in CUPW and APOC.
In 2018, I started a not-for-profit group that brought people together to clean the beaches around Victoria and the area. Helping the environment and giving our oceans a little boost, from the shoreline! I named this group Pristine Shores. Pristine Shores supplies everything from gloves to bucks and garbage pickers. Attendees need to supply nothing. Pristine Shores also deals with all the trash and recyclables collected during each cleanup. Pristine Shores was profiled on CTV Vancouver Island during a large cleanup at the Esquimalt Lagoon Beach. The group was again profiled on CFAX 1070 radio.
