• Troubleshoot for Regional Operations on issues preventing the effectiveness of Payment Specialists to complete their assigned workload. This would include errors in plan set up, errors in the administration of the claim set up
• Work in partnership with Disability Practise Excellence & Innovation, Issue Resolution, and ITPS to identify issues and collectively work to resolution
• Reviews contract wording and interprets meaning and application to payment function to ensure appropriate payments are calculated and produced for plan members
• Understands the financial impact and takes ownership for the accuracy of own work and information provided through team coaching related to payment calculations and process
• Identify when overpayment process is not being followed and coach Disability Payment Specialist
• Accurate handling of assigned reporting to limit financial impact and perform root cause analyses on trending
• Supports the implementation of philosophy, policy and procedures developed through Practise Excellence & Innovation within the regional operations area
• Coach and resource to Payment Specialist — utilization of tools, payment coding and workload priorities
• Reports back to Manager, Disability Payment Team on trends that are developing so that they can be addressed and where suitable, look to leverage learnings nationally
• Supporting training team/knowledge management on process updates
• Support and champion the Brighter Way Management System for Disability Payment by driving process improvements, ensuring problem solving sessions are on track, One Best Ways are documented and team huddles are effective
• Act as a back up for the Team Leads when required
