I'm a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years of clinical experience working in acute care, palliative care, long-term care, inpatient high-intensity rehab, inpatient slow-stream rehab, and outpatient rehab. I have also worked as a contractor for a teletherapy company since 2019 where I provide SLP services to school-aged children remotely. I am a small-business owner and run my own practice which is primarily through teletherapy and have been in operation since 2016. Over the course of my career, I have become passionate about supporting my fellow team members and SLPs becoming the best versions of themselves in their clinical practice and have taken action towards work in this area by holding regular in-services for LTC care staff, support UBC students as a clinical educator, supporting new graduate students through the SAC Career Mentorship Program, volunteering with SAC as an ad-hoc committee chair creating the SAC Position Statement on the role of SLP in LTC, and participating in FHA working groups for quality improvements as it pertains to SLP practice in the LTC and PATH settings.
