Additional Information

Additional Information

I have sat on the elementary school parent committee, I implemented the first school to have a breakfast club, and for the first few weeks, I paid for it.

Milk orders, whoever did not order, received it anyway, and food days

I also implemented no more door-to-door fundraising events from the children; it's a safety issue, but each family paid what they could afford, if any.

Instead, I fought and won against all the other parents at the school board level so that no child misses a school outing, including the end-of-the-year Ottawa trip, and we gave the child a little money for spending

Parent committee members will do fundraising events, bake sales, and sell books.

The one school needed a playground; there was none. I did the research and held meetings, and I was able to get a few companies on board to pay for it for the school and had the company match donations The children did not fundraising for this.

I stop the book orders from being sent home, as we had many children in our school who could not afford them, and it was not fair that out of each class, there would only be maybe two students who did not get book orders, but at book fairs, no child was left with nothing; the child was given an amount, and it was written down, and the committee paid it

I have sat on the high school parent committee to make sure children got to attend ski club and clubs that were expensive

I was a Scot leader, a brownie leader, and a member of the social committee for my children's dance company; I sat on many volunteer boards to help the children of Niagara, ran the Kids Help Phone, and was a block parent in Welland, ran all social events for places of employment, in addition to being an assistant coach for all my children's sporting activities, from T-ball to football, and rowing

When I was given raises at The Safety Village, I donated it back to the Village
