The Western Gazette, founded in 1906 is one of the largest student newspapers in Canada. The Gazette hires interns every semester for the news, culture, and sports sections. Western Gazette Alumni have gone to work at: The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, National Post, MacLean’s, CBC, CTV, Al Jazeera, Sportsnet and The New York Times.
The Social Contract is Westerns undergraduate Political Science journal, established in 2006. It publishes yearly and contains student submitted essays on a wide range of issues. As a Junior Editor for the Canadian Politics section I read various high level essays and work closely with authors and a Senior Editor.
