Awarded government fully funded medical education scholarship, which covered all 5 years of medical training. This scholarship was awarded to top-performing students in the National Advanced Level Exams pursuing medical education.

Represented the medical students in the guild council and senate. Discussed and participated in all academic and welfare issues of the medical students.


2009: Chaired International Post Traumatic Conference in Northern Uganda; This conference was jointly run by Gulu University and Uganda Psychiatric Association to address the trauma issues arising after the 20-year-old LRA war in Northern Uganda.

Was the chief resident at Mulago National Referral Hospital. Was in charge of the welfare and accommodation of all residents.

Oversaw orthopaedic practice in the northern part of Uganda and reported to the OSU committee.

Reviewed all Internal Fixations done worldwide and submitted to the sign database. I critiqued the fixations and gave feedback to the surgeons.


2022-2023- Chairman Hospital Infection Prevention Committee; Was heading a big committee tasked to oversee infection prevention in the hospital. Coordinated with the district task force and carried out annual hospital-acquired infection studies.
