• I hold a Watchkeeping Mate license and have been working in the marine industry for 8 years in various capacities, and functions.
• I am pursuing a long-term position as Mate aboard a professional private or charter yacht. I have one year experience as a 1st Mate on a passenger catamaran vessel, six years experience as a deckhand on large passenger vessels, experience on lage cargo vessels and experience on commercial fishing vessels.
• On a charter, or private yacht I aim to portray an image of professionalism, focusing on teamwork, guest relations, hard work and impeccable service. My strengths lie in my interpersonal skills, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning. I thrive on challenges, finding solutions, and working under pressure.
• As a mate, I ensure that the company’s Safety and Quality Management policies are being followed rigorously, and that all new safety initiatives are seamlessly implemented within my team. This includes preparing the vessel, crew and all required documentation for inspection by various agencies and making certain the absolute safest operation of the vessel.
• On my watch, the safety and comfort of our guests is top priority. As a leader, I pride myself in my professionalism and I work diligently to keep my team safe, happy, and productive.
