• Garmasis is an Art, craft and fashion design business that promote Garmasis fashion brand and concept.
• My main objective was to peruse my passion in fashion design and hand made crafts to promote Art and design and encourage local Artists display and show case their products confidently. Garmasis also works towards promoting sustainable Art and designs through recycling materials and craft projects.
• As the owner of the business I managed to:Managed daily operations for a successful small business, ensuring efficient processes and quality services.

My responsibilities was:

• Responsible of building communication capacity of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) volunteers in all country.
• Organises relevant training and coaching of SRCS staff and volunteers.
• Ensures monitoring of SRCS dissemination activities in sub-delegations
• Helps SRCS to develop action plans and follow their implementation.
• Providing technical advices to supports the production of SRCS communication tools and materials.
• Works to develop, update and implement ICRC/SRCS guidelines and address challenges in the field.
• Works as Advisor to the Swedish Integrated partnership project to build dissemination capacity of the national society SRCS.
• Drafting communication handbook and presentation materials in English and Arabic.
• Ensure coherent ICRC approach to the SRCS capacity building in communication.

Worked with the higher education institutes and academic circles to:

• Integration of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in the institutions of higher education and academic circles:
• Establish and maintain effective network of IHL lecturers and students in line with the delegation priorities and support the operational communication.
• Develop strategies and annual plans of activities to include regional trainings, competitions and related events..
• Provide administrative and logistical support in liaison with the regional delegation in Cairo- Egypt.
• Works closely with other departments on producing tailored communication materials, presentations, publications and press releases to reflect the organisation objectives and achievements.,
• COMM focal point to the Health Care in Danger Campaign (HCiD) and the Women in War Campaign.
• Substitutes and represent the communications Coordinator when necessary to ensure support to expatriates and national staff:
• Provides advice and coaching to ICRC communication staff..
• Draft the budget document (PfR) for all the above mentioned responsibilities.

As a training officer I managed to enhance communication between team members through regular follow up meetings and fostering open dialogue. My main responsibilities was:

• Draft and submit the weekly operational reports (WOR) to the COMM Coordinator.
• Works closely as a training relay to establish the regional training unit in Sudan.
• Assist in the Implementation of the training programs at the national level.
• Recognise the training needs and/or opportunities to build the staff capacity and efficiency.
• Draft the necessary modules and presentation points for tailored Training of Trainers programs (ToT).

Worked with CARE International Organisation in the “Food for Work” program in western Sudan. As a team leader I was responsible of:

• Set performance expectations for the team, monitor progress towards goals and provide constructive feedback as needed...
• Maintain an inclusive and diverse team culture, promoting respect and understanding among all members.
• Provides report on the work progress and contributes to the monitoring and evaluation reports on site.
• Divide survey teams for data collection and information gathering from households in the project areas.
