My responsibilities was:

  • Responsible of building communication capacity of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) volunteers in all country.
  • Organises relevant training and coaching of SRCS staff and volunteers.
  • Ensures monitoring of SRCS dissemination activities in sub-delegations
  • Helps SRCS to develop action plans and follow their implementation.
  • Providing technical advices to supports the production of SRCS communication tools and materials.
  • Works to develop, update and implement ICRC/SRCS guidelines and address challenges in the field.
  • Works as Advisor to the Swedish Integrated partnership project to build dissemination capacity of the national society SRCS.
  • Drafting communication handbook and presentation materials in English and Arabic.
  • Ensure coherent ICRC approach to the SRCS capacity building in communication.

Worked with the higher education institutes and academic circles to:

  • Integration of the International Humanitarian Law (IHL) in the institutions of higher education and academic circles:
  • Establish and maintain effective network of IHL lecturers and students in line with the delegation priorities and support the operational communication.
  • Develop strategies and annual plans of activities to include regional trainings, competitions and related events..
  • Provide administrative and logistical support in liaison with the regional delegation in Cairo- Egypt.
  • Works closely with other departments on producing tailored communication materials, presentations, publications and press releases to reflect the organisation objectives and achievements.,
  • COMM focal point to the Health Care in Danger Campaign (HCiD) and the Women in War Campaign.
  • Substitutes and represent the communications Coordinator when necessary to ensure support to expatriates and national staff:
  • Provides advice and coaching to ICRC communication staff..
  • Draft the budget document (PfR) for all the above mentioned responsibilities.
