Clinical Oversight of Information Systems:

• As the CMIO, the primary responsibility is to oversee information systems from a clinical perspective at the organizational level. This involves ensuring that technology solutions align with the needs of healthcare providers, enhance patient care, and improve clinical workflows.
• Collaborate with IT teams, clinicians, and administrators to bridge the gap between technology and patient outcomes.

Organizational IS Transformation with Digital-First Strategy:

• Play a crucial role in the transformation of the organization’s information systems. This includes transitioning from traditional paper-based processes to a digital-first strategy.
• Champion digital initiatives to drive efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility.

Major EHR Transition:

• Continue to work on process of implementing a major EHR transition at the organizational level. This endeavor involves migrating from legacy systems to a comprehensive EHR platform.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to customize the EHR to meet clinical needs while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Committee Leadership:

• As a committees chair, guide critical discussions and decision-making. two key committees chaired:
• ePractice Council: Focuses on optimizing clinical practices through technology. Drive initiatives related to evidence-based guidelines, clinical decision support, and user training.
• Order Set Committee: Collaborate with clinicians to standardize order sets within the EHR.

• Clinical work, resident, and medical students’ supervision
• Developed and ran procedures based elective for family medicine residents
• Provided POCUS and ultrasound guided procedural medicine to patients. This included resident exposure and teaching
• Managing outpatient practice and direct supervision of 2 residents.
• Full spectrum family practice including pediatrics, OB, geriatrics, adult and community medicine, and Transmedicine.

Strategic Planning and Facility Launch:

• As the Lead Medical Director, played a pivotal role in developing and executing a strategic plan for a 120-bed Alternative Level of Care (ALC) facility.
• Collaborated with stakeholders, including administrators, clinicians, and community partners, to ensure the successful launch of the facility.

Physician Leadership:

• As the physician lead on the Steering Committee and Quality committees, actively contributed to shaping the facility’s policies, protocols, and clinical pathways.
• Ensured alignment of medical practices with organizational objectives.

Accreditation Excellence:

• Under guidance, the facility achieved exemplary Accreditation Canada status.
• Championed initiatives related to infection control, patient experience, clinical documentation, and staff training, during and post COVID19 Pandemic.

• Developed and implemented plan to and launched 21 bed ALC dementia unit.
• Physician lead on Steering and Quality committees.
• Integration of Educational Curriculum for Family Medicine Residents within the unit.

• Worked on full integration of EPR with Greystone ALC Transitional Care Centre
• Collaborated with Bruyere, Bayshore, pharmacy in creating a safe transition process from paper to EPR.
• Mapped work processes for clinical care, reviewed data integrity assessment and reporting systems to ensure quality and safety compliance
