I am excited for the opportunity to begin my mechanic apprenticeship. I completed the commercial transport vehicle mechanics program with the top mark in my class. I am a motivated and detail oriented employee. I enjoy challenges managing competing priorities. In my current position as a qualify control supervisor, I diagnose, assist maintenence in repair and tune mechanical equipment throughout the mill. I specialize in the development of log and board optimizers. I lead a crew of Quality Control staff, and each year I mentor a UBC Co-op student from the advanced woodprocessing program.
I'm not afraid of manual labor. At home, my wife and I run a small "hobby" highland cattle farm. This involves fencing, feeding and managing the various needs of the cattle.
