Supervises a staff of Air Traffic Control Specialists that is responsible for carrying out air traffic control assignments within a geographic area.

Provides first line supervision to a team of Developmental and Certified Professional Controllers.

Sets work priorities and schedules. Approves leave; gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.

Evaluates performance of employees and recommends performance ratings.

Maintains operational currency on four different air traffic control positions.

Provided front line supervision to the Air Traffic Control Specialists as well as managed all of the training teams to a 100% success rate.

Managed all coordination involved with aircraft emergencies inbound to the airport.

Maintained currency on all of the operational positions in the tower.

Performed Air Traffic Manager duties as needed. Attended district meetings, met with tech ops and airport operations, and built the schedule for the facility.

Provided a safe and efficient flow of traffic into and out of Southern California and its many busy airports.

Provided priority handling to special interest flights when necessary and complied with traffic management initiatives to ensure an efficient flow flow of traffic at the airports.

Coordinated with neighboring facilities to ensure the safety of flights entering and exiting my airspace while also ensuring maximum efficiency

Performed on the job training for trainees with a 100% success rate. Also performed controller in charge duties as assigned.
