During my tenure at Sotawall Limited I held the positions of Technical Services Manager, Vice
President of Western Operations, Sales and Estimating, Vice President of Operations and
ultimately General Manager. The company during my tenure grew significantly from 75
employees to 600 and established itself as one of the premier companies within North America
As Technical Services Manager my responsibilities encompassed technical support Architectural
liaison, customer relations, estimating and sales.
As Vice President of Western Operations, my responsibilities were the oversight of Sales, Estimating and our manufacturing operations in Alberta. This segment of the company saw the
most significant growth in both revenue and profit during the 2008 to 2013 period.
When Sotawall expanded operations to a new manufacturing campus in Brampton in 2014, I
assumed the role of Vice President of companywide operations. This included oversight of the
construction of the new facility, oversight of the Project Management Group and Production.
In 2016 Sotawall was purchased by Apogee Enterprises. I was the lead contact for all corporate
planning and transformation from a private company to the new ownership of a publicly traded
company. This included Management Resource Review (Succession Planning), Developing Annual
Operation Plans and Strategic 3-year plans, along with my other duties as Vice President of
Operations.
In September 2018 I was given the new role of General Manager of Sotawall. This position
allowed me to complete the amalgamation of Sotawall into the Apogee family of companies.
Responsibilities included oversight of approximately 600 employees, revenue in excess of
$100M, management of all department heads, implementation of Lean and Continuous
Improvement programs, new HR policies, new accounting practices, improved financial controls,
forecasting and estimating and sales protocols. I was also responsible for guiding the company
and continuing operations uninterrupted during the Covid Pandemic.
CRM Construction Services offered Sub-contract installation Services, Technical Consultation,
Training and Inspection Services to the Façade Industry.
We provided Contract Installation Services on a variety of projects in Canada to Façade
manufacturers and contractors
We provided technical and training services to international customers of Kawneer International
Company in locations throughout the Middle East and Asia.
Sub-contract managed a manufacturing operation in Connecticut supplying unitized curtain wall
to Alcoa/Kawneer U.S. customers. This involved hiring and training all personnel, developing
workplace and safety policies and all day-to-day operations of this facility.
Worked with a U.K. Façade contractor to provide business development support, sales and
estimating support and Installation guidance.
Performed various roles in Engineering, Design, Project Management and Field Supervision.
