  • Fill out FLHA and have supervision sign FLHA. Field measure and install copper domestic hot and cold water lines from half inch to two inch diameter using PROPRESS machine handheld. Set up piping to be prepped for for apprentices to cut, bevel and prepare for welders to tack and Tig, Mig or stick weld before hoisting on to the ships to be fastened and secured into permanent positions. Tie in Boiler piping by using P&ID to locate inlet and outlet of hot and cold supply and return lines. Measure, cut, bevel, screw and prep piping for pump suction and discharge lines to feed areas in ships with low pressure in piping systems. Read and interpret all drawings associated to piping systems required to maintain fabrication and installation standards.

Read drawings to clarify mechanical installations. Rig up and rig pipe in using hand rigging or crane . Calculate offsets.Install and join, grind and bevel, make corrections on 30 butt joint piping sections, fabricate and assemble piping supports as per outlined in the drawings. Use of builders levels to obtain proper elevations of the piping. Outdoor work -30 and below on night shift for the duration on the project. Mentor apprentices.

Plan out work ahead from schematic drawings provided by engineers. Measure room and areas to provide proper isometric drawings for the pipefitter and welder to fabricate and install .Demo piping valves and other components of various lengths and sizes. Fabricate assemble and install pipe, valves, structural steel and any components required to elevate piping.
