08/1998 – 03-2022 Welfare Fraud (Public Assistance Department)
I was assigned to the West District office. I was the sole district clerical. It was my responsibility to identify, assess, and prioritize all the clerical work. I was responsible for keeping track of field investigations, providing support services to the field investigators, and assisting with the coordination of the investigator’s activities and interaction with SSA
personnel. When the Supervising Investigator was out of the office it became my responsibility to assign priority work to the investigators. Aside from assigning cases to the investigators, I processed all of the adult SSA client queries through CLET'S for all OMV, wants, warrants, criminal history and Parole Leads. I also was responsible for completing the month end statistical reports was an exceptionally time-consuming procedure that had to be accurate, as all numbers must balance for state review. Due to my knowledge and expertise, I was asked to assist in the development of the new Welfare Fraud data base system known as Dick Tracy.
07/2004 – 07/2007Harbor Justice Center:
While I was at Harbor Justice Center for three years, I learned the workings of the Muni court from answering the phones, pretrial desks, jury trial desk and the felony and superior court desks. I had a great deal of exposure to the public coming to the window and answering their questions about the court proceedings and general knowledge about the workings of the court.
07/2007 – 04/2011 Felony Panel
I was promoted to Attorney Clerk II and transferred to the felony panel, where I learned more about the Superior Court - proceedings. I was then transferred to the West Court annex after three months, because I had proved previously that I can be self-supervised. While there I was the sole clerical support for the three-felony panel Deputy District Attorneys and one Family Protection Deputy District Attorney and their investigators. My duties there were to assist them with their jury trial and pretrial calendars and other requests that they would have. That included contacting the subpoenaed witnesses to place them on call and answer any questions that they may have. I felt that while I was there doing the witness coordinating that I developed skills to gain the trust and cooperation of reluctant witnesses. It was my responsibility to add the witnesses to our CMS database and make sure that we have all the current information for them and to keep an up-to-date witness file.
04/2011 – 02/2014 Target Gang Unit
My duties were to support nine Deputy District Attorneys and their investigators. I type complaints, file
amendments, make sure that each case has gang affiliation. I update all databases, CMS, Cal Gang, and our own cases current data base. I transcribe, process SDT's, file motions, transportation orders, sub witnesses and keep the witness coordinator up to date on all the subpoenas that I process or cancel. I keep the nine DA's calendars up to date, providing them with weekly updates. Court procedures are constantly changing, it is my responsibility to keep them up to date on those.
02/2014 – 05/2020 Trackrs
My duties included updating the Trackrs Data Base with new and old Homicide Cases and Sexual Assaults. This database provided law enforcement with valuable information as the MO’s are entered.
I was the administrator for the database providing new users with support from password resets to help with the log in process.
This unit was also the Cold Case Homicide Unit, I provided assistance to the Investigators, Criminal Analyst and an IA with Transcriptions, scanning and the creation of the Homicide Books the investigators needed.
05/2020 – 03/2023 Central Justice Center
While at Central my duties primarily was misdemeanor discovery. I had much experience so I was also able to mentor the new hires with my experience and help where ever I could do so.
I have experience with Elete, Cal Gangs, Parole Leads, CMS, Visions and Microsoft Office.
In addition to my County of Orange tenure I also had 20 years of customer service experience.
