  • Worked onboard tug boats primarily towing log booms and barges on the Fraser River. Shifts consisted of 12-14 hour days of 7 day rotations. Job duties included: connecting loads to Tug, regular engine checks, operating of Tug, boat maintenance, training junior deckhands, keeping boat organized and properly stocked with equipment and supplies.

  • Worked in multiple mining exploration camps throughout northern B.C. building timber frame helicopter and drill pads. Flew into worksites daily. Duties consisted of slinging materials to and from worksites, radio communications with pilots and team members, constructing pads, as well as camp maintenance services.
