In high school, I did a co-op at The Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey, where I learned the importance of kindness and thoughtfulness- the women's shelter helped to contribute to how I want to leave a mark on the world. After being there for my winter semester i made many connections and applied that to a program/club i created at my highschool in grade 12, i made the club with the importance of spreading the word of human trafficking and getting information out and more importantly making a safe space for girls to share and create healthy friendship. I was able to have a partnership with Katie Barker, a Youth Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking outreach counsellor who took me to events and helped me connect with higher-ups in the school board. Through this, I also had the honor to win a high school award called the Canadian Federation of University Women
