My name is Sonia Gorchs Torrents, and I am a Nevada County resident, wife, and mother of two high school students. I am an experienced professional with the desire and readiness to transition from Business Operations & Management Consultant (Agriculture) into education and service to my community. I am trilingual, with native fluency in Spanish and Catalan, and professional-level fluency in English. I bring experience as a translator and community interpreter, supporting individuals and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
I moved to the United States 22 years ago and accomplished my dream of becoming fluent in English. Now, I am honored to apply for this position and put my multilingual skills, empathy, strong relationship-building skills, and management skills into service.
