As a third-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Genetics at the University of Western Ontario, I am eager to apply my academic background and laboratory experience to contribute to your research initiatives.

Through my coursework, including molecular biology, gene regulation, and mutagenesis, I have developed a strong analytical mindset and a solid foundation in experimental techniques. My laboratory experience has provided me with exposure to RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, cDNA synthesis, and qPCR analysis, among other techniques. Working with these methods has strengthened my ability to work with precision, troubleshoot experiments, and analyze data effectively. These skills, along with my attention to detail and adaptability, would allow me to integrate smoothly into your research team.

Beyond academics, my leadership experience as a Warrant Officer in the Cadet Corps has enhanced my ability to work in structured environments, coordinate tasks efficiently, and foster collaboration within diverse teams. This role helped me develop organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills—qualities essential for success in a research setting.
