Responsibility

• Oversee the quality and safety of patient care provided by the nursing staff in the department.
• Manage the human and financial resources of the department, including hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining nurses and other staff members.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for the department, following the hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
• Collaborate with other department heads, physicians, and administrators to coordinate and improve the delivery of healthcare services across the hospital.
