  • Coordinate patient scheduling, check-in, check-out and payments for billing.
  • Call patients and receive calls from patients to book appointments, offer medical direction from doctors, and communicate with other clinics, hospitals, and specialists on behalf of patients.
  • Perform various administrative tasks by filing, copying and faxing documents.
  • Update patient information and insurance details for accurate electronic medical records
  • Create and update forms within the EMR for physician use.
  • Help organize eight physicians', and two additional support staff's schedules and the clinic availability for any schedule alterations; Rescheduling physicians' schedules as emergencies arise.
  • Support administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, inventory management, and First Aid kit management.
  • Direct patients to exam rooms, field their questions, and prepare them for physician examinations.
  • Maintain professionalism and compassion with patients who are struggling with their health.
  • Assist physicians with small excisions and procedures when needed.
  • Perform cognitive function exams (MMSE and MoCa) with patients as needed.
  • Safely handle, correctly label, and deliver patient samples to hospital laboratory.
  • Organize physician patient panels and work on applicable projects for the physicians with outside companies such as Doctors of BC, and Pathways BC.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patients medical visits and information.
  • Practice safe cleaning and sterilization procedures for the environmental cleaning plan of the clinic.
