Simon Floyd P.Eng

Mechanical Engineer
North Bay,ON

Summary

I came to Ontario in the fall of 2015 to begin my engineering career but didn't find meaningful employment until I began working at Megafoam Inc in 2016. Afterwards, I moved to North Bay so that I could save & purchase a house while working in the Mechanical Engineering field at Piotrowski Consulting Limited. During COVID, I got a job at Metso:Outotec but they all but closed down in 2021. I then began my managerial engineering career at Kohltech, where I was a part of the team who developed the modern assembly line style of window manufacturing that Kohltech uses. Kolhtech bought the Seymour Window company and I was needed to help supervise, train and bring the Seymour workers up to speed.
