In this role, I lead a team of six. My objectives are to implement and streamline processes and workflows impacting our in-house Photography team, and our in-house Product Development team and running our Swatch Fulfillment program, servicing customers and Trade clients across the US and Canada.

• Interface cross-functionally with many internal stakeholders on owning and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify quality issues regarding incoming furniture samples and ensure follow-up with impacted teams.
• Build and manage a motivated team to consistently accomplish operational goals and exceed performance targets, while promoting team member growth and developmental goals.
• Maintain accurate product inventory for use by the in-house Photography team and manage staging, set-up and tear down of on-site and on-location photo shoots.
• Promote safety policies and practices among personnel, coaching appropriate handling and use of equipment and furniture products.
• Run our Swatch Fulfillment program by maintaining and replenishing swatch inventory and supplies, ordering swatches directly from overseas vendors, mills and tanneries.
• Stage furniture pieces for Trade clients as needed.

Leading a team of warehouse employees in their day-to-day tasks, maintaining and reporting on multiple key performance indicators related to safety and productivity.

• Oversaw warehouse staff and maintained efficiency in a fast-paced environment by setting clear priorities and assigning resources accordingly. Monitored performance and safety practices of 15+ person warehouse staff.
• Adhered to industry best practices for warehousing, material handling and record keeping.
• Acted as liaison between senior leadership, company departments and warehouse team.
• Collaborated with management to implement new initiatives and policies and achieve benchmarks for production, quality and safety.
• Managed day-to-day warehouse operations, freight and parcel shipping and receiving, returns and transfers.

Cultivated outstanding working relationships with vendors located in China and Vietnam, to continuously meet and improve Article's high quality standards.

• Provided monthly reports to all vendors, outlining areas for improvement.
• Provided weekly statistical reports to team leadership on quality metrics by communicating consistency issues or production deficiencies.
• Completed deviation forms and recorded findings of inspection process, collaborating with QA team members and department managers to implement and drive quality assurance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot customer claims one-by-one and analyzed data data to provide feedback and solutions to customer-facing teams and vendors.
• Booked third party inspections at factories, based on statistical and industry standard quality control tools to monitor process outputs (AQL).
• Identified possible product improvements to optimize the customer experience and establish comprehensive defect criteria during product development through product testing.
• Developed Article quality standards for materials and finished products and collaborated with cross-functional teams to create an in-house knowledge base.
• Verified assembly instruction documentation and communicated packaging and labeling errors to internal stakeholders.
• Researched customer needs, North-American/International Standards, new materials and manufacturing processes.

I was responsible for designing and developing an on-brand line of office furniture items (boardroom tables, desks, storage solutions, seating arrangements).

• Closely collaborated with the owner to execute Union Wood Co's aesthetic and vision.
• Conceptualizing by sketching ideas and creating moodboards.
• Used Sketchup Pro to draft product proposals, create 3D renders for client review and to develop shop drawings.
• Sat in with owner and client meetings, to then translate a design brief to concepts and shop drawings.
• Assisted with delivery and installation of furniture pieces as needed.
• Performed junior woodworking tasks in the workshop when needed.

Anthill is a Vancouver based design and millwork studio, specializing in small space solutions. I collaborated closely with the owners to expand Anthill's range of modular furniture and to conceptualize and draft millwork solutions and interior spaces for clients.

• Attended client meetings with the owners and use the design brief to conceptualize client's needs.
• Drafted concept proposals and create 3D renders for presentation to clients in Sketchup Pro.
• Collaborated closely with the workshop foreman to execute detailed shop drawings and millwork packages.
• Researched and ordered materials and was responsible for product sourcing and staying within budget when purchasing materials.
• Prepared technical drawings for use on CNC, with Fusion 360.
• Collaborated closely with the owners to do market research and develop new products for Anthill's own product line, focusing on modular furniture solutions for small spaces.
• Assisted with on-site photography and videography, edited images and footage with Lightroom, Photoshop and Premier.
• Curated and posted images and content for social media, kept the company's website up to date, while maintaining the Anthill brand standard.
• Assisted in the workshop with assembling, sanding, oiling, finishing and installing on-site.
