• Partner with community organization to provide non-medical support to improve overall health and well-being of older adults in the community.
• Manage the Senior Better at Home Program to help any senior aged 65+ in Surrey, BC, with simple day-to-day tasks during this crisis such as grocery shopping check-in calls, meal preparation and delivery, prescription pickup and drop offs.
• Support seniors experiencing barriers in accessing community resources with: One-on-one intake assessment and support, wellness calls by volunteers, group phone calls with other seniors to chat, play games and share music, group exercise classes such as yoga, chair yoga, tai chi.

• Recruited and trained over 220 volunteers on volunteer program goals and objectives.
• Scheduled and facilitated over 40 government assisted refugee clients intake.
• Coordinated and implemented special events for volunteer service appreciation.
• Provided ongoing support to volunteers and clients throughout their tenure, addressing any concerns or issues promptly to ensure satisfaction and commitment to the organization''s goals.
• Inputted and organized volunteer criminal record check and newcomer data into SharePoint, Excel, and CRM system.

• Assist in the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the volunteer and staff run transportation services to senior clients to appointments and grocery shopping.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the program by ensuring that the necessary program guidelines, policies, and procedures are adhered to and program standards met.
• Efficiently schedule and dispatch paid drivers and volunteers
• Recruit, screen, retain, train and supervise volunteers in accordance with AMSSA policies and practices.
• Maintain an electronic client tracking and scheduling system
• Monitor program expenditures within the existing budget. To process invoices and maintain financial records in accordance to established procedures.
• Liaise with community partners and other professionals and community contacts to facilitate referrals, recommendations, and maximize service delivery in the area.

• Organize and implement community engagement activities, including the Seniors Action Tables, Seniors Working Group and Coalition by setting up meetings, community events and other activities.

• Under the supervision of the seniors program coordinator, support seniors program participants and actively participate in program activities.

• Develop communication tools such as social media posts, update websites, and develop and distribute brochures, manuals, and newsletters using MailChimp, Canva or other related platforms.

• Assist in achieving some goals in the Fundraising/communication Plan.

• Maintain program statistics, filing systems (both electronically and on paper), update data bases inventories and phone lists.
