• Manage and execute the QA requirements related to Maintenance work
• Perform duties as the Owner's Inspector under the ASME B31 Codes for all piping Inspection, fabrication and repairs for work executed and installed at site
• Collect and analyze inspection data, compare historical information and formulate repair recommendations for process equipment and piping
• Complete Risk Based Inspection tasks on equipment as per associate equipment strategy
• Ensure all inspections, repairs and interval revisions are compliant to ABSA and Syncrude Quality Control Procedures and Specifications

• Evaluate and select the correct NDE methods for the damage mechanism expected
• Prepare Piping Circuit Findings Report and provide Recommendation
• Develop and implement work scopes such as creating thickness inspection packages based upon Corrosion Rates Vs Time Based Inspections as per global Inspection Practices of piping systems according to corrosion groupings

• Responsible for ensuring conformity by all field personnel to the Outage / TA specific to quality control and inspection procedures.
• Recruits and assigns site Quality Control Inspection Personnel, Welding Inspectors and the necessary administrative support staff to perform the QC / NDE activities that are required for the Outage, Project, Maintenance.
• Coordinate, schedule and control all aspects of the Outage, Project, Maintenance quality control and Flange Management activities.
• Manage preparation of Quality Control Procedures and Inspection Test Reports (ITPs) for the Outage, Project, Maintenance work packages.
• Maintain an effective system for recording field generated documents, inspection reports, checklists, non-conformities, corrective actions, client supplied items, testing, authorized inspection signoffs, etc.
• Issue regular concise reports that provide an overview of the quality of the work in progress.
• Continually reviews the qualifications and competence of the Quality Control team and ensures that their certifications are correct for the work being performed.
• Verifying that Outage, Project, Maintenance Quality objectives are met by identifying potential nonconforming conditions and notifying the Outage, Project, Maintenance Manager and Superintendents. If required, king the lead role in issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and following any issued NCR to closure.
• Prepare a list of recommendations (developed during the Outage, Project, Maintenance Execution Phase) for the post Outage, Project, Maintenance critique meeting and reviews comments with the Outage, Project, Maintenance Manager.
• Identifying and reviewing Quality records required for turnover.
• Coordinate with Outage, Project, Maintenance execution personnel to determine welder qualification requirements for Outage, Project, Maintenance event.

• Overall responsibility and supervision of Inspection personnel and monitors their actions to ensure that Inspection plans are followed
• Ensure competent inspection personnel are used to complete pressure equipment inspections, evaluate results and document the inspection results
• Reviews and signs off on integrity reports and Repair requests issued by the in-service inspector as necessary
• Accountable to ensure an accurate inventory of all pressure equipment is maintained and current certificate of inspection are documented in server
• Responsible for reviewing that complete records of pressure equipment history are maintained with content appropriate to applying best of industry standards

• Review of Inspection Test Plan, Quality Control Procedures and Method Statement and as per code, standard & project specification requirements
• Perform In-service Inspections (internal & external), Baroscopic inspection of Pressure vessels & Piping system by reviewing REIS Reliability Engineering Inspection Scope (past inspection reports, Equipment History, CUI inspection drawing, visual inspection, thickness measurements at designated CMLs, review NDT reports)
• Prepare TARR for corrosion/pitting/mechanical damages, lower thickness determining inspection intervals based on current condition. Provide repair recommendations and submit to Engineer for Endorsement
• Perform receiving and Installation inspection for New / Serviced PRD / PSVs
• Review and approve repair ITP and monitor repair / alteration progress
• Review of Test certificates for different materials such as CS, SS, LTCS, DSS, Nickle Alloys and Filler wire, Electrode batch certificates as compliance with standards
• Review of RT, UT, MPT, LPT, Hardness Check, Ferrite Content Test, Pickling & Passivation and PMI Procedures as per Project Specification requirement
• Prepare Internal External inspection check list, Thorough Inspection report and Repair Report
• Review and sign off ABSA forms AB40, AB 10 etc. as required
• Ensure Inspection, Measuring & Test Equipment used in the Contract are calibrated & their status identified
• Participate in internal/external audits and follow-up of corrective actions.
• Review of Hydro test Procedure & Hydro test packages for Piping, Pressure Vessels & Pipeline & give the clearance for Hydro testing.
• Witnessing Pressure Test of different types of valves such as Gate, Globe, Check, Relief etc., BEP, Process piping and pressure equipment as required
• Review of batch certificates of Blasting & Painting materials & ensure that these materials stored as per manufacturer & project specification requirements.
• Carried out Inspections of Piping & Pressure Vessels coated surface for DFT, holiday

Quality Compliance & Documentation
•Ensured compliance with ABSA Quality Manual, Site Quality Plan, and client specifications.
•Prepared and maintained ITPs, ensuring all hold, witness, and inspection points were completed and properly documented.
•Prepared partial and final AB 83 forms in accordance with ABSA requirements.
•Prepared NCRs, supported root cause analysis, and assisted with CAPA implementation.

Welding Inspection, NDE & Testing Oversight
•Performed material verification and traceability by reviewing MTRs against IFC drawings.
•Verified WPS/PQR compliance, monitored weld parameters, and witnessed WPQs for CS, SS, and low alloy steels.
•Proficient with SMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW, GMAW, and weld overlay/cladding applications.

Walkdown, Reinstatement & Mechanical Integrity

Storage Tank Inspection
•Performed storage tank inspections (diesel, water, utility tanks), including checks for peaking, banding, verticality, annular to shell weld integrity, bottom plate and corner weld quality, diesel chalk testing, and vacuum box testing.

Vendor Inspection:

•Conducted vendor inspection and surveillance for mechanical, piping, welding, and civil/structural components & ensured compliance with ASME, API, CSA, and project specifications.

•Performed FAT inspections for equipment and materials.

• Provide Quality Assurance support to Contractor QC Inspectors for day-to-day operations, long-term reliability and maintenance projects. This includes but is not limited to Pressure equipment inspection, SOW Review, field checks, engineering assessments, identification and resolutions of Noncompliance, Review and approve Inspection Test Plan, Review and verify Welder Tickets and WPS
• Collaborate with planning, Operations and Engineering for scheduled work prioritization
