I’ve worked at cocina for nearly 2 years now and I’ve loved it since my first day. My coworkers have been amazing and supportive continuously and it’s been a great experience to have the opportunity to work with the public. I feel working with the public has benefited my communication greatly to where I feel very comfortable speaking. It’s also been a great way to learn how to multitask while keeping a kind demeanor. This job has taught me how to be kind to those who are not necessarily the kindest to you and give constant respect. Through the time I’ve been at cocina I’ve been able to forge relationships with the regular customers by taking genuine interest in them and their lives. I see the benefits of taking genuine interest in others because a sense of trust and loyalty can be found through simple but meaningful interactions.
