  • Partnered with Directors from Search, Answers, Experiences teams to deliver the first public version of Dash AI in a tight timeline.
  • Volunteered to be the Interim lead on Search Relevance on Day 3 of joining when Code Yellow was initiated. As a result, I was recognized as employee of the week by the CEO within the first 6 weeks of joining.
  • Hired 2 Staff and a Sr EM to build the Knowledge Platform for Dash AI.
  • Sharpened the engineering team culture, processes, performance management, and stabilized operations.

  • 6x in-experience traffic growth to 30k qps, 1.5x total DAU growth on catalog discovery functionality, ~4% incremental bookings in 2023.
  • Partnered with ML, Data Infra, and Growth teams to drive multiple innovations and bookings impact:
  • Revamping of legacy CF based offline recommendations infrastructure to online personalized recommendations.
  • First vector DB similarity search at scale at Roblox.
  • Improved search, autocomplete, privacy using SoA techniques for personalization, query understanding, content understanding.
  • Enriched client shopping experience with shopping cart, bulk-purchasing.
  • Led 9+month Catalog monolith breakdown into microservices, infrastructure upgrades improving deployment velocity by 3x, 70% reduction in outages/incidents.

(~20 engineers)
  • (Founder) Pitched the PR/FAQ product idea to the CTO to get a buy in.
  • We were the second fastest growing AWS AI service (>50 services) after Amazon Sagemaker to hit the triple digit mn$ ARR in 2 years and with over a thousand active enterprise customers.
  • Launched multiple public facing API search features with supreme execution.
  • Managed key customer relationships helping onboard the first 100 customers. Troubleshooted search quality concerns or prioritizing requirements helping close crucial business deals.

  • Revamped the Uber Eats Restaurant Manager empowering the restaurant partners with the performance insights. The actionable and interactive dashboard shows valuable data and feedback, along with on-demand/scheduled reports for enterprise restaurants, all in a simple and easy-to-read dashboard.

  • Led the technology that powers the money (by the penny) clearing millions of dollars covering billions of impressions with terabytes of data aggregated across advertisers, agencies, and publishers at Appnexus Inc.
  • Managed the real time pricing, transaction batch processing, and the full stack financial systems teams (including offshore support team). The teams (~25+ engineers) own big data pricing transactional flow: real time auction and batch MR billing pipelines; ETL warehouse powering client reporting, data science and marketplace analytics.
