Microbiology Laboratory and Clinical Hematology and Body Fluids Laboratory

• Acquired practical expertise in microbiology procedures, such as inoculating different bodily fluids (such as sputum, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid), as well as doing bacterial smears and Gram staining.
• Developed proficiency in antibiotic susceptibility testing methods, including minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and disk diffusion (K-B testing).
• Mastered the advanced equipment VITEK 2 compact and mass spectrometer for microbial identification and resistance profiling.
• Enhanced microscopy skills for identifying various microorganisms, including staphylococci, streptococci, and pathogenic bacteria.
• Completed training in the Clinical Hematology Laboratory, focusing on venipuncture techniques for blood collection, involving patient interaction and adherence to safety protocols.
• Emphasized precision and efficiency in blood collection, effectively managing diverse patient interactions and resolving challenges with instructor support.
