Water Quality Monitoring

• Conduct routine monitoring of surface water quality parameters, such as pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus), metals, pathogens, and other contaminants. This may involve collecting water samples from various locations and analyzing them in laboratory.

Pollution Prevention and Control

• Implement pollution prevention measures to minimize discharge of contaminants into surface water bodies. This may include implementing best management practices (BMPs), such as erosion and sediment control measures, stormwater management, and wastewater treatment.

Environmental Assessment

• Conducting environmental assessments and audits to evaluate potential environmental impacts of proposed projects or existing operations.
• Perform monitoring and sampling activities to measure levels of physical, chemical, and biological agents in workplace environment.

Regulatory Compliance

• Advising clients on environmental regulations and ensuring compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal environmental laws and standards.

Site Investigation and Report Writing

• Performing site investigations to identify contamination or potential environmental hazards, such as soil or water pollution.
• Proficient in conducting thorough investigations, meticulously documenting findings, and delivering concise yet comprehensive reports, enabling clients to make informed decisions based on sound analysis and recommendations
• Preparing detailed reports documenting findings, assessments, and recommendations, and presenting findings to clients, regulatory agencies, or stakeholders.

Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification

• Create educational materials, including presentations, handouts, and manuals, that outline safe work procedures relevant to environmental consulting activities. These materials cover topics such as hazardous material handling, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, equipment operation, and emergency protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive emergency response plans that outline protocols for responding to various types of emergencies. These plans include procedures for evacuation, communication, first aid, containment and coordination with emergency responders.
• Regularly review and update emergency response plans to reflect changes in personnel, equipment, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
