Medical Assistant

  • Monitor blood pressure readings for 146 patients.
  • Daily, ensure that all patients have sent blood pressure readings and that the readings are within normal ranges. If readings have been missed I contact patients reminding them to continue taking blood pressure readings every two days.
  • If patients experience symptoms like lethargy, lightheadedness, and headaches, I alert the patients’ cardiologist regarding abnormal readings and symptoms.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins, contacting about 40-60 patients daily, to check in with them regarding symptoms and if they need assistance with the monitoring.
  • Assist patients with connecting their bedside monitors, sending in manual transmissions, scheduling monthly and quarterly transmissions via device sites, and contacting patients who have missing demographics.
  • Record patient interactions into the Evoke system and Electronic Medical Record systems for the clinics so continuity of care is efficient.
