  • Responding to the queries of branch, brokers and rendering resolutions for smooth delivery of underwriting service to onshore team.

• Provide prompt underwriting solutions basis process knowledge and reply to the queries/ requests from producing office/ broker within TAT as specified by process for property and liability cases we handle.

• Have expertise of handling job duties of Catastrophe Modeling like scrubbing data, mapping it with their occupancy and construction codes and calculation of premiums using premium calculation tool. Performing risk modeling basis exposures, construction, and occupation codes.

• Provide supports to underwriting team who sits in onshore (Us & Canada) and helps underwriters sitting in various countries.

• Prepare underwriting reports and update insurance forms when necessary. We draft and support business for Us and Canada lines. Starting from pre bind to bound cycle till releasing the policy to the client. Additionally, allocate premiums and do the bookings in system. Creates invoice and handles endorsements as per the requirement of client.

• Experience rating to determine premiums considering limits and deductibles and other terms and conditions. While assessing risks, study about client (company) profile to know about nature of business and risk involved.

• Responsible to update corrections basis rework received. Evaluation of client slips and working on post bind process basis documents received.

• Prepare and keep track of process manuals. Reviewing it timely and keeping a track of changes.

• Responsible to hold Regular discussions with onshore team underwriters to share feedbacks and enhance knowledge.

• Evaluate the business process transitions, training, mentoring, coaching to the team, and handling ad hoc tasks, report along with managing BAU work.

• As a people manager, have experience to organize team in an effective manner. From allocating daily work routine (work split etc.), allocate workload systematically and fairly. Taking care of team’s feedback, evaluating performance of team members. Collaborating with onshore basis business requirements • Perform regular meeting connects as per frequency shared by the management including documentation and manage low performers.

SME of Canada & US Incoming Process (involves pre-bind and post - bind tasks of policy management process) for property, casualty and international financial lines. Prepare underwriting reports and update insurance forms when necessary. Takes care of mid-term endorsements and post policy issuance changes. Additionally, allocates premiums and do the bookings in the system. Undertaken skills of underwriting assistant (UA) wherein quote drafts are created and class codes are determined using various insurance regulatory sites which further lets to determine premiums basis risks involved. Additionally, basic and experience rating is performed to determine premiums considering limits and deductibles and other terms and conditions. Preparation and housekeeping of process manuals. Ensures every update is captured. Communicate and keep team abreast of new/upcoming procedural changes, ongoing projects with impact by conducting monthly meetings. Leads business calls with onshore stakeholders. Ensures process is on track and there is no communication gap. Handled multiple business process transitions. Also, worked towards transitioning and stabilization of Canada Incoming property process during onshore visit to Poland. Organize team in an effective manner (work split etc.), allocate workload systematically and fairly. Perform regular meeting connects including documentation and manage low performers.
