- Analyzes, verifies, processes and resolves files internally generated or requested by the taxpayer, benefit recipient, and /or their representative as they relate to assessments/determinations and reassessments/re-determinations.
- Determines the amount of tax, benefits and penalty and provides taxpayers, benefit recipients, and/or their representatives the necessary explanations of changes to tax, benefits, penalty and interest.
- Responds verbally or in writing to requests for information from taxpayers, benefit recipients, and/or their representatives and refers them when necessary to the applicable area, or directs the requests to the appropriate work area.
- Gather information from taxpayers and research possible responses or solutions in order to accurately respond to their enquiries.
- Provide explanations and/or clarifications to taxpayers over the telephone in response to enquiries concerning the filing and processing of Individual tax returns.
- Explain various social programs administered by the CRA and make appropriate referrals.
- Perform various calculations on taxpayer's accounts and inform the taxpayer of the findings.
- Supports Store Manager in ensuring the store operates within its predetermined budget (salary, inventory, expenses, etc.).
- Adheres to and enforces loss prevention and security policies, credit policies and Procedures (employee purchases, deposit logs, return and exchange policies).
- Ensures that all merchandise is properly ticketed and attractively displayed.
- Communicates stock replenishment needs to the Store Manager.
- Assists in training sales associates in product knowledge, visual presentation, Sales techniques and administration.
- Supports the manager in all essential duties necessary for the efficient operation of the store.
- Enforces and complies with all store/company policies and procedures.
