I am currently a 3417 Captain in Golden Gate Park Section 1, serving the East end of the park and the Panhandle. I am a dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. I am equipped with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills; I have gained great relationships with other trades and employees within the department because of this attribute.


I have served as acting supervisor when needed. I have experience submitting TMA's, payroll submission, and leading the crew continually trying to contribute to team success and achieve positive results.


I work with rotating apprentices, providing on the job training with a focus on municipal irrigation; conducting audits, repairs, plant identification, proper tool use, deferred maintenance of parks, and safety protocols required for the job.


I have many years of experience working with large volunteer groups, sometimes up to 100 people.

Accomplishments

I am a proud graduate of the Rec & Park Apprenticeship Program.


Recently, I organized a monthly volunteer day with the San Francisco Succulent & Cactus Society to renovate and restore our historical Arizona Garden.


While working at Lafayette Park in the Marina Complex, I successfully reduced the over all gallonage by one million gallons, significantly reducing water waste from the irrigation system.
