Work History

Mechanic

Enns Brothers LTD
08.2022 - Current
  • I am currently working as a field tech for Enns Bros John Deere, where i am exposed to the latest technology and software in any industry.
  • Diagnostics and repair on some of the most complex electronic and hydraulic systems in agriculture.
  • In depth equipment check lists and maintenance.
  • Working as a team in person and over the phone with management and customers.

Mechanic

Peter Kiewit and Sons
01.2022 - 08.2022
  • My time at Kiewit was short due to the timeline of the job, which was the completion of the Trans Mountain pipeline Spread 5B.
  • While at Kiewit I was briefly exposed to mining equipment such as jumbo drills and scoops.
  • The safety aspect while on site was next level to anything I've seen, with a high standard for PPE and site awareness due to limited space for right of ways.
  • Working in close quarters with moving machines was normal, proper planning and communication was key to no accidents or close calls.

Mechanic

Sigfusson Northern
11.2012 - 01.2022
  • During my time with Sigfusson Northern I was exposed to a very diverse work environment. Starting out I was in the shop learning from all of the experienced tech's taking my apprenticeship. Later on I was on site in northern Manitoba and Ontario where the repairs varied from honda water pumps to pickup trucks and HD equipment. Most sites there would only be one mechanic on site at a time, where I was forced to think on my feet as I was only a level 2 apprentice on my first shifts up north. Some of the tasks are as follows;
  • Performed diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures to find and identify root causes of mechanical issues.
  • Upheld quality control standards for all completed work, ensuring each piece of equipment left the shop operating at peak performance.
  • Maintained accurate records of completed work orders, ensuring transparency for management.
  • Maintained a safe working environment at all times by adhering to company guidelines.
  • Mentored apprentice mechanics in proper diagnostics and repair, and workplace safety practices to assist their growth within the company.
  • Repaired engines, transmission components and drivelines to factory specs.
