Shaun Brown

At living edge design I meticulously assembled custom cabinets in a precision-driven environment. This involved using a diverse array of tools and machinery to maintain exceptional accuracy standards. In addition to assembly I also participated in installation which involved working alongside general contractors and other trades onsite, often independently. Working at Living Edge Design significantly honed my woodworking proficiency and fostered a distinct problem solving perspective beyond my past carpentry experiences.

As Director of Brown Building and Renovation I successfully managed all facets of project delivery and financial operations delivered high quality work while ensuring projects meet deadlines and budgets.My work covered a diverse range of projects from post and beam construction to sheet metal cladding. I successfully managed to both build my house and complete complex building projects for the twelve months leading up to my relocation to Canada.

Engaged in a four year apprenticeship, covering a mix of construction skills from tiling and cabinet making to interpreting building plans. Worked on both renovation and new construction, honing my knowledge of local building codes. Near the end of my employment after qualifying I began supervising a junior apprentice allowing me to teach my learned skills.
