• Assessed post anaesthetic patients by collecting and evaluating information from a variety of sources using skills of observation, communication, data review and physical assessment. Made a nursing diagnosis of the patient's condition and determined whether improvement or resolution can be determined by an appropriate nursing intervention.

• Reviewed post-operative orders and continuously monitored patients' post-operative vitals, set up PCA's, Epidurals and fluids and oriented patients to unit.
• Administered medications via oral, IV and subcutaneous injections and monitored responses.
• When patient meets discharge criteria, correspond with discharge unit to give a report on patient and accompany or send patient to appropriate unit.
