Relationship Management

*Assists in maintaining relationships with housing departments and representatives in the region,including and not limited to

*Prepares and maintains a list of contacts for each housing department,housing provider and community leaders in the region along with notes and information on the services,facilities and offerings of each.

*Tracks and documents all contacts, funding partners and discussions ,provides a monthly report to the leadership of FNHIC

Administrative & Networking

*Coordininates meetings,events and gatherings of representatives from these main categories

-First Nations

-Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Housing Providers

-Municipalities

- Fed/Prov Ministries

-Service organizations with a housing Mandate

*Participate in a variety of housing related indicatives in their regions such as advisory groups, steering committee,project, research and communications

*Provide FNHIC with regional feedback and updates

Housing Needs Indentification

* Identifies current and future needs within the region

*Serves as an advisor on the housing options for First Nations in my region.

*Disseminates information to key stakeholders on housing status within th region.

Training & Research

* Created and helped develop 8 modules for First Nations Housing Managers, will be facilitated fall of 2024

*Work with KWl over 6 months and developed a Housing Asset Management Workshop (one day) working on recreating the projects and course outline into a (3 day) Workshop. Feedback was great however to much info to retain and implement.

* Worked with Thompson Rivers University facitlted a one day training for Communitty Planning and worked into their 6 week Trade Sampler Program

• Improved tenant satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and implementing effective solutions.
• Trained new staff members on policies and procedures, ensuring consistency in service delivery across the team.
• Negotiated contracts with vendors, securing favorable terms while maintaining quality service provision.
• Managed budget effectively, reducing operating costs without compromising the quality of services provided.

* Built 6 Homes from shovel in the ground to full occupancy.

* Completed 12 Reno Health and Safety

* Created a detailed Maintenance plan Annually and seasonal.

• Stayed informed about industry trends through ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Organized community events to foster a sense of belonging among residents and encourage social interaction.
• Coordinated move-in/move-out processes efficiently while minimizing vacancy periods.
• Met with housing residents and landlords to answer questions, address concerns and clarify policies and procedures.
