Provide specialized family practice coverage in an underserved local rural community for women's health providing counseling and procedural skills in birth control, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, menorrhagia, perimenopause/menopause, urinary incontinence, This includes pap smears, endometrial biopsies and IUD insertion. Travel stipend is provided by the Rural Calgary PCN. Commitment is approximately 9-10 days a year.

Managed both walk in clinic type patients and acutely unwell emergency type patients in collaborative urgent care, alongside other physicians, nursing, lab and xray technicians

Provided low risk prenatal and postnatal care to an increasingly complex patient demographic with heavy emphasis on immigrant and refugee care as well as patients with social and economic disadvantages

Provided in hospital triage and care for pregnant patients over 20 weeks gestational age with emergent concerns

Participated in an on call low risk provider group (LMG) to manage labour and deliver babies

Covered immediate postnatal care for moms and babies while in hospital

This included clinic coverage at the Mosaic PCN clinic for prenatal and postnatal care

Provided intermittent locum coverage for prenatal and postnatal care as well as new baby visits for a family physician in Strathmore, Dr. Emile Muller, once a week as needed for vacation coverage

Dr. Muller was a member of the PLC low risk maternity group (LMG) to which I belonged

Provided locum family practice coverage once a week for Dr. Patricia Connick in Calgary Alberta, which included low risk obstetric prenatal and postnatal care and inpatient obstetrical coverage at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary

Provided emergency, family practice clinic and long term care for patients in multiple rural and remote locations across Alberta, often as a solo provider in town

Provided prenatal and postnatal care in clinic to pregnant and postpartum mothers as well as newborn care up to 6 weeks of age
