• Represent youth perspectives on policy development, workforce equity, and community benefits agreements, contributing to inclusive construction and infrastructure projects across Toronto.

Key Achievement:

• Youth Electrical Skills Boot Camp: Led the planning and delivery of a hands-on workshop on security camera installation, where youth gained practical trade skills under expert guidance. The initiative expanded access to training opportunities in the skilled trades sector and demonstrated the power of youth-led initiatives in shaping workforce solutions.

• Coordinated the LBC ECO Power Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program, sponsored by United Way Toronto. Originating from the LBC Green Energy Efficiency Builders Program, it provided youth with eight weeks of paid, hands-on training in solar/wind turbine installation, WHMIS, and Trades Math.
• Transitioned the program into a foundational tier of a five-level electrician apprenticeship, equipping Black youth with knowledge, skills, and tools to succeed in the electrical trades.
• Partnered with the Skills Council of Canada to deliver an introductory “Try Our Skilled Trade” workshop, giving participants exposure to HVAC systems and diverse skilled trades.
• Oversaw program logistics, including recruitment, training delivery, and graduation events for 40+ youth.
• Delivered career readiness, financial literacy, and leadership workshops, preparing participants to overcome systemic barriers such as racism and settlement challenges.
• Supervised youth staff, ensuring safe, inclusive, and supportive environments for participants.
• Strengthened engagement through school outreach, community partnerships, and social media campaigns, increasing Black youth participation in apprenticeships.

Key Achievements

• Certified Facilitator – Belief Project (Capital One, Credit Canada, Canadian Women’s Foundation): Facilitated a financial literacy program for 30 women, increasing confidence and knowledge in managing personal finances.
• ECO WORLD Conference (June 2023): Coordinated LBC’s inaugural conference for the Green Energy Efficiency Builders Program, featuring four green energy industry leaders and connecting youth to careers in sustainability.
• Successfully launched apprenticeship programs that created sustainable employment pathways for racialized youth in the trades.

• Monitored the quality and timeliness of service delivery to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Reviewed job output reports and maintained accurate Excel records for remits, invoices, and operational tracking.
• Directed, coordinated, and evaluated activities within the delivery department, optimizing workflow and operational efficiency.
