I started playing hockey when I was 5 years old and I've always had a dream of being a professional hockey player. My goal is half completed as I have a scholarship to play at a Canadian University of my choice. My entire life had been dedicated to becoming a better hockey player, student and most importantly a good person off the ice and in life.
This is my third season in the WHL. In order to stay in this semi professional hockey league I need to follow a strict training, travel and practice routine.
I provided endless summer fun as a certified captain for local families and tourists visiting Kelowna. I was responsible for all safety protocols for my passengers as well as handling bookings payments. If there was ever an issue I was required to troubleshoot and find a safe and effective solution. Many of our repeat customers would request that I captain their boats.
I was a jack of all trades from fueling up boats, working in the store, cleaning up camp sites. I did just about everything except steal picnic baskets like Yogi Bear!
Each year Rutland Arena hosts nearly 1M visitors and chances are they have visited the concession (Champions Kitchen) or the Skate Shop. I looked after running the concession, scheduling, dealing with cash, floats and deposits, cooking, ordering product, sharpening skates and ensuring our customers enjoyed their experience with us.
