My biggest strength is adaptability. My background as PhD scientist and professional athlete has given me the opportunity to live and work in different countries, and learn from different cultures, while pushing myself out of my comfort zone. This has built me as a resolutive, empathic and energetic team player. My biggest achievement was to discover during my research career that the sex of the cells matters. By implementing a novel approach, I found that the sex of the cell is a modifier of kidney metabolism, and this effect has implications in diabetes and solid organ transplantation. I hope to translate my enthusiasm and professionality to the industry setting.
