Working at Tim Hortons was my first real experience working a job. I had been employed during a period where we were understaffed, as such, very quickly I became entrusted with higher level responsibilities such as:

• Closing the store and assigning tasks for the employees on shift to carry out
• Training new recruits by providing them with an adequate introduction to their position and expectations that should be upheld
• Dealing with customers and ensuring that their concerns were heard and dealt with in a professional manner
• Answering inquires over the phone or in person regarding our services and branches

TheMovieScoop or themoviescoop.com is a project that I embarked on with two friends. This began as a simple idea and we slowly developed it into a complete site full with a high volume of internet traffic. This experience taught me:

• The full process involved in developing a website from scratch
• How to work in a team, manage tasks, and meet deadlines and growth milestones accordingly
• Budgeting and finance management when dealing with revenue and expenses
• How to advertise and promote an idea to specific demographics using different forms of media and campaigns
