  • The job consisted of transporting cribbing, beams and other materials to site. To start the job, we would begin by hand digging underneath the house, usually on our stomachs or in tight spaces, to set bases for the cribs. Once that was completed we would then roll steel beams underneath to catch the floor joists and cribs we built. After that we would lift the house to the required height in order to excavate underneath. Then the footing and foundation would be put in. Finally, we would come and set the building down and do any prep work required for the concrete floor pour.
  • Led a lot of jobs, teaching new co-workers the process along the way, usually from start to finish.
  • Operated heavy machinery on a daily basis, including excavators and a foot pedal operated skid steer. The tasks mainly included the loading/unloading of steel beams on/off of the trucks, using the machines to roll the beams underneath buildings and to take them out, and for excavation/grading work. Also did the basic maintenance on a weekly basis.
  • Also did a lot of other tasks including carpentry work, concrete/block work, landscaping, etc.
  • Maintained clean and organized worksites, minimizing hazards and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Loaded, unloaded, and moved material to and from storage and production areas.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, completing physically demanding tasks under varying conditions.
