I am an experienced building operator/manager with both the hands on knowledge and supervisory experience to effectively and efficiently run the day to day operations of any residential or commercial rental property.
My attention to detail, proactive planning and pleasant demeanor would make me an asset to any property portfolio where customer satisfaction is of the upmost importance.
I have vast experience with tenant relations and am familiar with the Nova Scotia Tenancies Act having represented owners on a number of occasions.
I feel that I could be a great asset to your organization and look forward to discussing this position further with you.
During my time at The Greystones in addition to the regular duties of the building operator position I undertook a detailed energy consumption audit of the shared heating system of the commercial condo section of the property and the adjoining residential condo section and the retail mall.
This detailed investigation lead to the discovery of a history of double billing which equated to a refund to the corporation in excess of $80,000 which was returned in the form of future energy credits.
I also coordinated the installation of a new video surveillance system in the common areas of the complex.
The main responsibility of this position was the maintenance of a portfolio of HRM owned properties which were managed by Citigroup Properties. The portfolio consisted of single family homes, multi unit buildings and a small number of commercial rental properties.
I was responsible for unit viewings for potential tenants, the general upkeep of the properties, scheduling regular maintenance service calls such as furnace cleanings and fire systems for the larger properties.
I was also tasked with the hiring of contractors and the management of projects outside the scope of the regular maintenance staff.
