I am a 39 year old, married father of two, and have lived in Laidlaw for the past 14 years. I have become the sole owner of the gravel pit in Laidlaw, where my family and I live. I started there doing yard work, labour, and basic machine operating and maintenance. During the day I work for Diverse Construction as a site supervisor, specializing in concrete undergrounds and civil infrastructure. I end up in positions of responsibility, because I am responsible and I am engaged when doing things. I learn quickly and always put in the effort required to be one of front runners.
I strongly believe it is important to always be learning and improving yourself in some way. I enjoy working out, being outside, and spending time with my family. I am currently enrolled at BCIT for project management courses.
Fire fighting has never been available to me, when I looked for it, however it has always been on my radar. I think more people should be doing things for their community, and this is an excellent way to give back. I would very much like to give back to the community I live in and raise my family in.
