Volunteer Experience

  • 09/2024 First Year Orientation Leader in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (GAEL) - As a second year student who had a wonderful and welcoming first year experience at Queen's University, I wanted to give back to my school community by providing a similar experience for the incoming first years. For the first two weeks of the academic school year, I led first year Arts and Science students through collaborative activities to encourage friendship and introduce them to all that Queen's has to offer.
  • 07/ 2023 Leader In Training Volunteer at Camp Chief Hector YMCA - Before being eligible as a full time employee at Camp Chief Hector YMCA, I worked as a volunteer during the months of June-July, leading back country hiking trips, facilitating outdoor group activities and teaching campers about the beautiful outdoors.
  • 12/2022 - 02/2023 Nourish Cowichan Volunteer - I volunteered at an incredible organization in Cowichan, BC for three months which takes initiative to ensure underprivileged elementary school children in the community have food to eat throughout their school day. This included spending 3 hours once a week in the Nourish Cowichan kitchen preparing well balanced meals and packaging them for easy pick up.
