Given my knowledge of the Industry, my communication skills and Skill set, I have been asked to take over multiple jobs where they were either falling behind schedule or Subcontractors were not performing, I took on these projects in conjunction with my regular duties, going above and beyond and within the year of my employment at the company I have saved them in excess of $250,000

Effectively using Procore to manage and maintain Constructions Projects.

Built and continue to maintain strong and trusting working relationships with my Co-workers and Managing Partners at the firm

Created new management systems and continue to oversee the inventory that link all assets in the company allowing access for our Site Superintendent's and PMs to locate/ log and book out the required Tools needed to complete their jobs, eliminating the need for costly unnecessary spending, this in-turn allows the company to ensure accurate tracking of assets and costs.

Conducted regular performance evaluations for our highly skilled staff, Providing constructive feedback or guidance to improve.

Overseeing the pay scales and making recommendations to the VP of Construction for Pay increases and Promotions.

Collaborated with other departments to achieve company-wide goals and improve overall performance.

Participated in weekly "Tact" Meetings to help shape the future direction of the organization and discuss weekly targets.

Operations Manager

Glow the Event Store
12.2022 - 10.2023

I was initially offered the position of Tent Manager for said department but was immediately asked to Project Manage on going works within the company and a new warehouse due to my Construction knowledge and background, upon completion of said tasks I was then asked to manage the Maintenance Department and after a short period I also took on the running of the Facilities Management and now I co-chair the Health and Safety Committee

I have minimized the possibility of work place accidents by holding Tool Box Talks with Employees and Managers regarding safe working practices, I continue to train and develop employees on our policies and procedures to ensure work quality goes hand in hand with job efficiency.

Working through the builds required and liaising with Trades/ Designers/ Managers and Staff I am able to provide an accurate cost analysis for upcoming projects to be able to keep them on time and on budget.

Attend multiple weekly meetings with other Department Management and the CEO to discuss progress of works and how best to organize the weeks ahead.

I have recently been asked to review the applications and undertake interviews for the upcoming hiring in my departments.

I pursued the option of daily site reports for staff to keep labour costs down whilst allowing the staff to have a say as to why jobs overrun/ what contact they had with clients and report any issues/ solutions on site.

I have had to familiarize my self with the companies pay system to log and process all my staffs hours and holiday requests.

In short my roles at this current company are as follows -

Tent Manager

Maintenance Manager

Facilities Manager

Project Manager (for specific events)

Co-Chair of the Health and Safety Committee

Site Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor

Project Manager

Self Employed

Project Manager for a 34 residential unit development.

Project Manager for Orbit Homes building 350 high end homes.

I provided extensive project reports with full costings for materials and schedules for work completion. I managed the labour force ranging from 40-80 sub-contractors, organizing trades required on site so that our budget was not effected by a standing workforce.

I had my dedicated material supplier with whom I had created a strong working relationship with, this I developed over many years but it allowed me to organize deliveries throughout the UK to ensure continuing progress whilst being able to keep costs low.

Interpreted blueprints and M&E drawings, relaying information to my team of workers all while being able to problem solve with various trades when issues arise to overcome them quickly and efficiently.

Produce regular progress reports for the client, detailing specific tasks and work undertaken.

Provide toolbox talks on site safety and correct methods of working standards.

Managed the scheduling of work required, making plans based on budgets, priorities and employee availability.

Create timesheets, schedules and various other documents using a range of Microsoft office program's.

Weekly update meetings with Clients/ CEO and Owners of the sub contract companies to discuss progress onsite and continued to build very good working relationships with them.

Company Director/ Carpenter

Pioneering Carpentry and Developments ltd
03.2017 - 06.2021

· This was my own company that I built and had run very successfully for many years. We ranged from small bespoke items to full commercial renovations. I quality-assured the tradesmen I used as sub-contractors to ensure that the work was carried out to an exceptional standard.

· Working throughout the day would mean I would spend my evenings and weekends completing full costs and budgets on projects up to the value of £5M

· I would carry out full risk assessments on our jobs before commencement; all works were completed to the current building regulations and only fully qualified trades were used.

· Using my dedicated material supplier to help keep costs low and by passing that saving along to my customers meant not only was I trusted (which is very important to me) but I built a fantastic reputation and formed strong relationships with repeat business.

· I took over a struggling commercial-to-residential build where previous contractors had failed. I was able to complete the job within budget and on time thanks to my skill set, knowledge of construction and extensive contacts within the industry.

Hurstways Construction –

· A family run business where I worked as a carpenter. I read and scaled blueprints to complete works given

· Working as part of a team and also working alone using my initiative to complete complex tasks

· Impeccable time keeping skills were essential working for high end companies as every part of the build process was meticulously planned out to ensure trades kept moving whilst sticking to time constraint and budgets.

· Provide exceptional attention to detail as the company often worked on historic renovations which would mean matching existing works. I took great pride in my work in this role and the highly detailed skillset has followed me through my career.

Ken whites –

· This was a small family run business. I worked with one of the brothers on builds completing all works from 1st & 2nd fix carpentry to full house renovations. This was a full multi-trade position that gave me so much knowledge and experience that I use to this day.

· My time as a site carpenter consisted of reading blueprints to accurately build to specification using a multitude of hand and power tools.
